Zum Launch unserer neuen LED-Panel-Serie VIBE haben wir beide Modelle dem Profi-Fotografen Stephan Wiesner für einen ersten Praxistest zukommen lassen. In diesem Blogbeitrag inklusive Video gibt er Ihnen einen kurzen Einblick auf das, was Sie bei unserer neuen Serie erwarten wird und wieso unsere VIBE-Serie die Zukunft des Videolichts sein wird.

Wedding and couple photography is all about creatively capturing special moments and the unique relationship between two people. Marina Radon is a photographer who has been working in this field for more than a decade and has since made a name for herself with her calm and personal imagery. In order to make her vision of rustic, but also clean images come true during a specially planned shooting in a castle in South Tyrol, she uses our LUMIS stick lights.

Especially in difficult lighting conditions, your camera can reach its limits and not provide a satisfactory result despite an acceptable shutter speed and maximum aperture. This can also happen in the field of portrait photography, for example in the bright midday sun. Large areas with shadows and hard contrasts are quite common here without the right equipment.

The lights of the LUMIS series are designed for a wide variety of creative settings and show their strengths especially in portrait photography on location. Of course, the actual possibilities and the variety of possible uses of the lights only become apparent in the practical test.

With artificial light, photographers imitate the most beautiful picturesque lighting moods of the sun. The flash is traditionally used, but nowadays permanent LED lights are used more and more often. These are easier to use because they show the effect of the light in the photo before the shutter is released. In many cases, they also offer precise adjustment of the color temperature and are sometimes even equipped with colored LEDs or special effects.

The diverse application possibilities of the continuous lights from the LUMIS series only become apparent when they are used. Since every photographer has his own style and techniques, the most diverse results and creative settings can arise. Photographer Florian Kunde was able to test two of our LUMIS Mini I-Lights in practice in order to demonstrate the possibilities in macro and nature photography when it comes to lighting.

Photographer Manfred Jasmund has so far only used studio flashes for his work, so he was very excited to test the Weeylite ninja 400 II LED continuous light when working with us. Find out more about working with the continuous light and its experiences during and after the test here.

Photographer Jannik Wagner once again showed his skills in the creative outdoor shoot with model Sharmika in an abandoned hotel near Kaiserslautern. He used the mystical location and the atmosphere of a sandstone cellar with candlelight.

Skilfully highlighting the details of a location with light? Of course – in a collaboration with us, photographer Jannik Wagner showed how this challenge can be mastered. For the launch of the LUMIS lights gave him the opportunity to flexibly use the LUMIS U-Light and the LUMIS Compact RGB and thus implement creative picture ideas with the compact LED lights.
