There is a wide variety of photo subjects that require the use of a GND filter (Gray graduated filter required. But not every GND fits every situation..
So wouldn't it be best to always have the right filter when you need it Graduated Filter Set gives you exactly that at hand. Because in this set are all common GND filters with which you can compensate for motifs that one different brightness gradients exhibit.
Photographers choose the respective filter types according to how hard or soft the transition of a horizon line runs, or whether only the middle of the image should be darkened, as is the case with sunrises or sunsets.
The set includes the filters Soft GND, Center GND, Medium GND, Hard GND and Reverse GND– all have that Strength 8 (3 stops with the exception of the Soft GND , which is in the set in the Strength 16(4 stops is included. The reason for this is that the GND 8 is the most popular GND filter that many customers already own..
The medium GND can be used for these motifs:
- Mixed urban motifs houses with bodies of water, bridges and skyl)
- Mountain ranges with forest, sky and sun
- Overall motifs where the horizon line is rather uneven
GNDs is used for subjects in which the brightness ratios have a certain gradient and therefore require a different exposure for an evenly exposed image. Classic location of a Medium GND is for example the recording of a city center, which has many different elements and brightnesses and therefore exactly between Hard and soft GND must be classified. The medium GND compensates for such a scenario.
The F: X Pro Graduated Filter Set consists of five filters with different intensities:
- Soft GND16
- Center GND8
- Medium GND8
- Hard GND8
- Reverse GND8
