Warranty

The guarantor is the manufacturer of the ROLLEI product, RCP Handels-GmbH & Co. KG., In de Tarpen 42, D - 22848 Norderstedt (hereinafter: ROLLEI).

24 months exchange service

Rollei offers a 24-month exchange service on almost all products. This does not apply to our flashes and LED lights; these are given for repair by our service center in the event of a defect. Consumables such as flash tubes are also excluded from the guarantee.


We offer a 6-month warranty on our batteries, so they are not covered by the 24-month exchange service.


For all other Rollei products, ROLLEI grants a 24-month exchange service from the date of purchase, which means:

  • A defective product or a defective part will be exchanged for a new or refurbished one that is as good as new.
  • ROLLEI bears the return and shipping costs in Europe.

10-year manufacturer's guarantee for products in the Lion Rock and Rolleiflex lines

In addition, ROLLEI grants for tripods and tripod heads of the series Lion Rock an extended manufacturer's guarantee of 10 years from the date of purchase. All affected products have corresponding information on the packaging or guarantee card. As part of this additional guarantee, we extend your statutory warranty rights to 10 years. We therefore guarantee that the product will retain its specific properties for a period of 10 years from purchase if used properly. Your statutory warranty rights towards the seller of the ROLLEI product are not restricted by these warranty conditions.

Handling of warranty and guarantee cases:

In principle, you must exercise your warranty rights against the seller of the ROLLEI product. Alternatively, within the scope of this guarantee, you can assert your guarantee rights directly against ROLLEI.

A guarantee case exists if there is a claim against the seller of the ROLLEI product based on the statutory warranty rights.

The guarantee protection applies worldwide. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. The prerequisite for the assertion of the guarantee claim is the presentation of the original proof of purchase.

The following are excluded from the guarantee:

  • Defect through personal negligence e.g. Operating and application errors, misuseg)
  • Consequential damage e.g. Defect in the camera if the tripod is defectivev)
  • Consumables e.g. Bulbs, cleaning material, protective glasses and batteriess)

  • report the defect by email service@rollei.com and clarify the further procedure with our service staff.
  • send an email to service@rollei.com and send the defective product at your own expense to the ROLLEI Service Center at the following address:

Should it be a professional service product (Tripods, rectangular and round filters, flashes and accessories or a product with 10 year guarantee act, this is indicated accordingly on the guarantee card of the product. If you no longer have the guarantee card, please send an email to service@rollei.com and wait for feedback. Profi-Service products can then be sent to the Profi-Service Center at your own expense:

In any case, a copy of the purchase receipt must be submitted. We reserve the right to request the original proof of purchase.


If the product is sent to our service center without additional notification by email to service@rollei.com processing may be delayed from receipt of the shipment. If there is a warranty claim, we will contact you or send you an identical product directly. If there is no guarantee, you will receive a cost estimate. If you want repairs, you have to reimburse the necessary fees for repairs and similar costs according to the cost estimate. Otherwise we will send the ROLLEI product back to the address you provided at your expense.
