In addition to professional rectangular filters you will also find of course that Rollei also has high-quality round filters in the most diverse versions and in the most prevalent lens diameters from 49 to 82 mm for flexible assembly. Depending on the intended purpose you can select from two current product families:
Rollei Premium Round Filters
The new Rollei Premium Filters are manufactured from the incredibly resistant Gorilla®* glass of the American traditional manufacturer Corning Inc. Ions are exchanged on a molecular level by means of a hot bath in an alkaline liquid and the surface tension is significantly increased. In addition, the Premium filters still have the special Luminance Coating in order to guarantee a very high degree of colour neutrality whilst retaining the excellent light permeability as well as to successfully prevent undesired reflections and mirror images. The Rollei Premium line includes ND filters in three different intensities, polarizing filters and protective UV filters.
Rollei Extremium Round Filters
Our Extremium Round Filters are also made from the best Gorilla Glass*, which, with the Luminance Coating that was developed specifically for Rollei guarantees the highest degree of light permeability, exemplary colour neutrality and effective protection against reflections and mirror images. The Extremium range was also equipped with filter rings made from 100% titanium on order to exclude negative effects on dimensional stability even in the event of extreme fluctuations in ambient temperatures.
ND filters of varying intensities are used for long-term exposures and with very bright image subjects in order to be able to experiment creatively with the exposure time. Premium or Extremium quality round Rollei filters are available in the three darkening levels, ND8, ND64 and ND1000, which can also be combined for outstanding results.
UV Protection filters
UV radiation, which is invisible to the human eye, has a lasting adverse effect on the colour quality of your images. With a UV filter from the Rollei Premium or Extremium range you can reliably prevent this unpleasant effect of the ultraviolet rays in sunlight and protect the front of your valuable lens at the same time from damage or contamination. The UV filter can remain on the lens since it has no effect on its other optical features.
With a polarising or a CPL filter you can continuously adjust mirror images or reflections on non- metallic surfaces such as glass or water within an angle range of 90° and show objects that are located behind windowpanes or on the bottom of lakes. In addition, our Rollei Premium and Extremium Polarising Filters improve the contrasts in the subject and intensify green and blue tones.
Dark CPL Filter
The Dark CPL filter combines the functions of a ND filter and a polarizing filter in one. To create long exposures as well as blur effects or running water under daylight conditions a ND filter is used. The polarizing filter reduces reflections on non-metallic surfaces and intensifies colours. The Rollei Extremium Dark CPL filter is available in three densities, ND 8, ND 64 and ND 1000.
