Fortunately, Dashcam recordings can now also be used in Germany in individual cases as evidence in court. At the same time, in view of the much stricter data protection requirements in all areas, it is no longer recommended to have the dashboard camera constantly recording and storing data. However, in order to be able to collect usable video evidence that can be used in court on the one hand, but also to avoid violating any data protection laws on the other, the Rollei DashCam-408 was developed. The modern DashCam-408 records everything in front of your vehicle in Full HD resolution with a frame rate of 30 fps using the wide-angle lens and a practical light intensity of F2.1 continuously - but only automatically saves the data in an accident or manual emergency cases.
For emergencies: Sensitive G-Sensor and intuitive manual trigger
The new Rollei DashCam-408 makes it really easy for you to secure important evidence: Mount the DashCam-408 with the sturdy suction cup on your windscreen and plug the supplied 12V / 24V vehicle adapter directly into the standard cigarette lighter of your car, the camera "wakes up" automatically and films in loop mode without permanently saving videos as soon as you turn the ignition. Of course, after you've finished driving, the DashCam-408 automatically switches itself off again. A highly sensitive and robust G-sensor starts the emergency recording in case of accidents/typical strong deceleration within a fraction of a second. You can also activate the save function manually if you are in a tough situation - simply by briefly pressing the clearly visible emergency button. The accident record includes a time span before and after the trip - long enough to record the best Full HD quality on how the accident happened. The built-in microphone ensures that even voices, signals or other acoustic evidence is not lost.
