With a car camera, also known as dash cam, you can record snapshots and videos with audio comments of your travels and trips. The route is automatically recorded by an in-built GPS module and can be viewed later on Google maps. Car DVR (Car Digital Video Recorder) footage is becoming increasingly popular on social media.
Good wide angle lens and full HD for crystal-clear panorama footage
The Rollei CarDVR-300 not only has a wide angle lens with a very short fixed focal length and fixed focus to cover the entire field of vision from the windscreen, the full HD resolution with 30 frames per second also delivers smooth movement even when the speedometer exceeds 200 km/h. The sturdy suction cup fixes the light-weight car cam (just 94g) safely to the inside of the windscreen of your car.
Loop recording with G sensor stop function
The enclosed 12/24-volt car adapter ensures constant power supply even when used in trucks, and the Rollei CarDVR-300 automatically starts recording when it is switched on. The footage is saved to microSDHC memory cards with up to 32 GB capacity (class 6 or higher). To avoid an abrupt end to the recording when the memory is full, the car camera automatically goes to loop mode and continuously overwrites the recording from the beginning. In a similar way to an airbag detonator, a so-called G sensor prevents overwriting in the event of a hard impact or hard braking. Thus, footage can be accessed after an accident, even if the camera mistakenly continues filming.
Video software and GPS module included
You can watch the footage of your Rollei CarDVR-300 with the enclosed video software, films are stored as MOV files, pictures as DCF files. The in-built GPS sensor allows you to document the exact route; you may record and embed date and time in the film or on the photo, if desired.
