Commonly known as dash cams, the car cameras that are attached to the dash board or windscreen allow you to film your trips and travels in the car. Spontaneous snapshots are also possible. CarDVRs (Car Digital Video Recorders) usually have an in-built GPS feature, enabling you to later track the location of your vehicle on Google maps.
2k or Full HD resolution with HDR
The 1/3 inch CMOS image sensor on the Rollei CarDVR-310 records videos in either 2k or Full HD resolution. HDR is also available in 1080p/30 fps mode, which enables high-contrast footage even when it is dark outside or vision is not good.
As an alternative to video, it is also possible to take pictures with an impressive 2688x1512 pixels (4 megapixel) resolution. MicroSDHS memory cards from class 10 and with up to 32GB can be used to record the data.
A real light-weight with a brilliant display
The Rollei CarDVR-310 weighs just 75 g without the memory card, and the accompanying suction cup fixes it securely to the windscreen or side window. Despite being light-weight and a very handy format, the very bright and back lit colour LCD TFT display ensures footage is focused and high-contrast.
Just in case: loop functionality and G sensor write protection
The loop function that is enabled by default (recordings are continuously overwritten) is deactivated as soon as the 3 axle G sensor has registered an abrupt stop or crash; this ensures you can access the videos and photos even after an accident. The 12/24-volt adapter enables use in cars, trucks and, of course, on boats or ships.
Watch and share - the easy way
DCF files (JPG, Exif: 2.2) or MOV films can be watched immediately on PC or Mac and even posted on social media. Practical: the in-built GPS module records the exact position of the car camera for Google maps, date and time are also recorded and embedded on the finished video or snapshot.
