More than 80 years ago the Rollei brand and the striking logo with the high recognition value was officially registered with the competent patent office as a trademark. Since then more than 70 percent of Germans have become familiar with the brand and today associate the traditional name with professional tripods and filters, practically orientated accessories and excellently equipped, high-performance action cameras. Now the historical logo also adorns the special edition digital camera Historyline 98. In addition to a stylish, functional design the compact digital camera is also impressive due to its inner values.
20-megapixel Sony CCD sensor and 24-288 mm wide angles
The handy measurements of the Rollei Historyline 98 should not lead us to underestimate its optical qualities. A high-quality 20-megapixel Sony CCD sensor reliably records the image information, which you capture with the extremely flexible 24-288-mm wide angle lens and the particularly speedy tracking autofocus with face recognition. The twelvefold optical zoom and the optical picture stabilizer, which also makes sharp photographs possible even with large focal lengths, make this high-performance digital camera the choice for a multiplicity of shooting situations and also as a reliable, durable back-up camera.
Panorama and time-lapse photography function included
Rollei cameras were used by many creative photo artists and reporters. The Historyline 98 recognises this tradition with 25 built-in subject modes, 17 effects for artistic photo variations directly at the time of shooting and a sophisticated panorama function. You take photos with a maximum resolution of 5,152 x 3,864 pixels, you record videos in the usual formats and a resolution of 720p with an image rate of 30 frames per second. Depending on the preselected mode, the integrated flash reduces red eyes, switches itself automatically in addition or also functions reliably in slow sync mode. The removable lithium ion rechargeable battery supplies the Rollei Historyline 98 digital camera with the necessary 700 mAh power and the micro USB interface supports the USB 2.0 full speed standard.
