Warranty conditions and directions for processing warranty claims
The Warrantor is the manufacturer of the Rollei product, Rollei GmbH & Co.Kg, In de Tarpen 42, D - 22848 Norderstedt (hereinafter:ROLLEI).
24-month exchange service
For all Rollei products ROLLEI grants a 24-month exchange service starting from the date of purchase. That means:
- A defective product or a defective part will be exchanged for a new or refurbished one that is as good as new.
- The costs of shipping and return in Europe will be borne by ROLLEI.
A 10-year manufacturer warranty for products of theLion Rock and Rolleiflex lines
In addition, ROLLEI grants an extended manufacturer warranty of 10 years on tripods and tripod heads of the Lion Rock serie starting from the date of purchase. All products affected by it have relevant information on the packaging and/or warranty card.Under the terms of this supplementary warranty we extend your legal warranty rights to 10 years.Thus we warrant that,if used in the intended manner, the product will maintain a specific quality for a period of 10 years starting from the date of purchase (durability warranty).Your legal warranty rights vis-à-vis the seller of the ROLLEI product are not limited by these warranty conditions.
Settlement of warranty claims:
In principle, you must exercise your warranty rights vis-à-vis the seller of the ROLLEI product.Alternatively, under the terms of the present warranty you can also assert your warranty rights directly against ROLLEI.
A warranty claim exists if a claim would existagainst the seller of the ROLLEI product due to legal warranty rights.
Warranty protection applies world-wide.The warranty period begins on the date of purchase.Submission of the original purchase receipt is a prerequisite for assertion of the warranty claim.
The following items are excluded from the warranty:
- a defect due to personal negligence (e.g.operating and application errors, misuse)
- consequential damage (e.g.a camera defect in the event of a tripod defect)
- consumables (e.g.lamps, cleaning material, protective glasses and rechargeable batteries)
In the event of a defect, you can…
- send notification of the defect via e-mail to email@example.com and clarify further action with our service employees.
- address an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and send the defective product at your own expense to the Rollei Service Center at the following address:

If this should concern a professional service product (tripods, rectangular and circular filter, flash units and accessories) or a product with a 10-year warranty, this must be specified accordingly on the warranty card of the product.If you no longer have the warranty card in your possession, please just send an e-mail to email@example.com and wait for feedback.Professional service products can be sent then at your own expense to the Professional Service Center:

A copy of the purchase receipt must be submitted in each case.We reserve the right to request the original purchase receipt.
If you send the product to our Service Center without an additional e-mail message to firstname.lastname@example.org, there may be a delay in processing after receipt of the delivery.
If a warranty claim exists, we will establish contact with you or send you a product of identical design directly.
If no warranty claim exists, you will receive a cost estimate.If you wish to have your product repaired, the necessary repair charges and similar costs that may arise in accordance with the cost estimate must be reimbursed by you. Otherwise, we will return the ROLLEI product at your expense to the address provided.
